Water Sensitive Urban Design
At Integra, we are proud of our award-winning innovations in Water Sensitive Urban Design. This method of design uses better urban planning to reuse valuable stormwater, reducing the amount of polluted water reaching our rivers, creeks and oceans.
Our solution is simple. In every large-scale Integra community like Aberdeen Ballarat, there will be one or multiple man-made wetlands precincts. These series of shallow, densely planted ponds help filter water through a biological process.
The wetlands not only provide a natural way to treat water, but are a haven for local wildlife and a beautiful green space for the community to enjoy.
