Construction update – entrance nearing completion, wetland planting

Aberdeen Construction Update

We’re excited to share that there has been fantastic progress on site at Aberdeen.

Glenelg Highway Entrance Works
Wayne Horne Earthmoving is nearing completion of the entrance works along the Glenelg Highway. If you regularly travel this route, you may have noticed the recent asphalting works undertaken last week. Looking ahead, please be aware there may be minor traffic disruptions next Friday as final line marking is completed. After this, traffic management will ease, and conditions should return to normal.

Wetlands Progress
The wetlands are also coming along exceptionally well. Civil works are nearly complete, and Integra’s Landscape team has now taken over to begin soft landscaping. This includes planting, mulching, fencing, and the installation of trees and native plants around the wetlands. We’re also beginning to introduce water to help establish the vegetation.

Stage One Earthworks
On-site earthworks are progressing smoothly in Stage One, with Wayne Horne currently undertaking benching. This is part of our “build-ready” approach at Aberdeen — each lot will be flat and come with retaining walls installed, reducing the need for additional earthworks during home construction.

Sewer Pump Station Underway
One of the more technically exciting developments is the commencement of the sewer pump station. A 6-metre-deep excavation is what we are currently working out of to construct the pump station that will manage the estate’s sewer system. Over the coming weeks, two 16-metre-long storage tanks will be delivered and installed on site — keep an eye out for them!

We look forward to sharing more updates soon and hope to bring you news on the commencement of Stage A construction in our next update.
