Delivering Essential Infrastructure: 74,000-Litre Fibreglass Tanks Installed at Aberdeen Sewer Pump Station

We’ve recently completed the delivery and installation of two 74,000-litre fibreglass storage tanks as part of the new sewer pump station project in Aberdeen. Each tank measures 2.5 metres in diameter and 16 metres in length. The installation required precision lifting using a 60-tonne mobile crane, with the tanks now positioned and ready for backfilling with crushed rock to ensure long-term underground stability.

These tanks form a critical component of Aberdeen’s new wastewater infrastructure. Once operational, they will manage and direct wastewater from the community to the treatment plant – most of this essential infrastructure will operate entirely underground and out of sight.

In parallel, we’re progressing with installation of the underground water reticulation system. This includes the main blue water supply lines, individual connections to residential lots, and fire hydrants to enhance emergency service response.

Together, the sewer and water infrastructure works will provide Aberdeen with a modern, reliable utility network that supports both current and future residential needs—ensuring safe, efficient water delivery and wastewater management for the entire community.
